What We Can Do for Your Pet

Dog Grooming Service

The Full Grooming Service allows you to make sure your pet is looking and feeling his or her best! We offer this for all sizes and breeds. Includes bath, nails, blow out, brushout, cut, shave paw pads, sanitary trim, and ear cleaning.

Dog Bath Service

Bath Service includes bath, nails, blow dry, brushout, and ear cleaning.

Regardless of your pet's breed, age, or behavior each of our services can be curated to fit their specific needs-no matter how unique.

Deshedding

Is your pet shedding? Deshedding service gives your pet maximum care and reduces undercoat.

Matting

-What Sophisticuts Pet Spa wants you to know. "We love your dog's just as much as you do and this is why we do what we do. We are passionate animal lovers who made a career choice of spending time with dogs and doing what we love! We only want the best for your dogs!

When your dog is matted, we believe in doing what is best for your dog. In many cases, this means shaving the mats out. Shaving is not a "short cut" to get the job done quickly, this can be a very slow, tedious, and dangerous process. We are working on areas of your dog where skin is thin, likely already irritated, and sometimes their hair is being pulled because of tight mats. Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts, or abrasions due to warts, moles, or skin folds hidden within the matted hair. Therefore shaving a matted dog must be done slowly with utmost care."

We believe in humanity over vanity! If your dog is matted over 10% we will have to shave them. If you absolutely do not want your dog shaved we charge an extra $40 an hour to remove mats.

Policies And Procedures

At Sophisticuts Pet Spa your pet is very important to us and we want to assure you that every effort will be made to make your fur babies grooming experience as pleasant and safe as possible. Safety is the most important priority during our grooming process: for your pets as well as us. You are required to fill out a grooming information form to have your pet groomed at our salon.

Health, Medical, and Behavioral Issues

It is your responsibility as a pet owner to inform us of any & all issues with your pet. Occasionally grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. Sophisticuts Pet Spa cannot be held responsible for undisclosed medical, behavioral, or health conditions. We have the right to refuse future services if you do not disclose all potential health risks.

Accidents

Although accidents are rare, there is always a risk when handling pets. While we use extreme caution and care in all situations, grooming equipment is extremely sharp and accidents can occur, including (but not limited to) cuts, nicks, scratches, or quicking of the nails. In most cases, this can happen when a pet is moving around, wiggling, or becomes distracted. Your pet's safety and comfort are our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified. Sophisticuts Pet Spa will cover those injuries if we are assumed responsible by a veterinarian.

Veterinarian Authorization-Medical Emergencies

In the event of a life-threatening emergency and you cannot be reached, Sophisticuts Pet Spa will seek medical treatment from the nearest licensed veterinarian while the pet is in the care of Sophisticuts Pet Spa. All veterinary costs and expenses will be the owner's responsibility unless Sophisticuts Pet Spa assumes responsibility.

Current Vaccinations

All pets legally must be current on their rabies vaccination and provide documentation of such. Although we do highly recommend having all vaccinations up to date.

Cancellations/No Call No Show

If it is necessary to cancel/reschedule your grooming appointment, we do ask for a 24 hour notice when possible. Early notification allows us to fill empty appointments. Not notifying us causes us to miss out on appointments that could have otherwise been filled. We do understand that unexpected issues can occur without notice, please notify us ASAP. If you do not call to cancel your appointment within 24 hours or do not show up for your scheduled appointment you will be charged $25 per dog. Continued missed appointments may result in us no longer taking future appointments for your pet.

Late Policy

Our time is valuable being on an appointment-based schedule, therefore, we allot specific amounts of time for each pet. We cannot accept your pet for their groom once it is 15 minutes past the appointment time. You will also be charged a cancellation fee.

Pick Up Policy

The grooming process can take up to 3-4 hours depending on your pet's coat, behavior, and size. We make every effort to groom your dog in a timely and safe manner. We will provide an estimated length of time for the total service at the time of drop off. We ask that you wait for our call or text to pick up your dog. Calling, or stopping in will only delay the groom, causing distraction for your pet, which in turn makes it more difficult and dangerous to complete the groom. We cannot always answer calls if we are handling your pet. Safety is our first priority. Please allow us to perform the groom in a safe, efficient manner. On time pick-up is required since we have limited kennel space and are not a daycare facility therefore we allow one hour after you are notified that your pet is ready for pickup unless prior arrangements have been made. Dogs that are left in our care for more than one hour after we notify you will be charged a $15 housing fee.

Payment and Pricing

Prices of grooms are based on breed, weight, coat type & condition, temperament, desired haircut and time. While we strive to notify clients of price changes, prices are subject to change without notice. Payment is due in full at time of pick-up. We accept cash or check. If you must pay by credit card a $5 convenience fee will be charged.
